I’m sorry, but after hearing they want
to sing OUR National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough!
Nowhere did they sing it in Italian,
Japanese, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German, Portuguese, Greek, French,?or any other language because of immigration.
It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it
was written. The news broadcasts even
gave the translation - not even close.
Sorry if this offends anyone, but this is
MY COUNTRY
 IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY,
SPEAK UP!
I am not against immigration -
just come through like everyone else.
Get a sponsor;
have a place to lay your head;
have a job;
pay your taxes;
live by the rules;
and
LEARN THE LANGUAGE
as all other immigrants have in the past
and
GOD BLESS AMERICA!


Think about this:
If you don’t want to forward this
for fear of offending someone,
YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!

Will we still be the Country of choice
and still be America if we continue
to make the changes forced on us by
people from other countries who came
to live in America because it is the
Country of Choice?

We’ve gone so far the other way,
bent over backwards to not
offend anyone, that I am now
being offended.
But it seems no one has a problem
with that.

Woodpecker and the Trees

 

Two tall trees, a birch and a beech, are growing in the woods.  A small tree begins to grow between them, and the beech says to the birch,
 
“Is that a son of a beech or a son of a birch?”
 
The birch says he cannot tell.
 
Just then a woodpecker lands on the sapling.  The birch says, “Woodpecker, you are a tree expert.  Can you tell if that is a son of a beech or a son of a birch?”
 
The woodpecker takes a taste of the small tree. He replies, “It is neither a son of a beech nor a son of a birch.  It is, however, the best piece of ash I have ever put my pecker in.”
 
Now wipe that smile off your face. And pass it on!!

Wanna Go Fishing

 
 
Dear Abby:


When I finally retired, I could hardly wait to spend time enjoying my favorite pastime — bass fishing. I got my own little fishing boat and tried to get my wife to join me, but she just never liked fishing. Finally, one day at the Bait &Tackle Shop, I got to talking to Sam, the shop owner, who it turned ou t loves bass fishing as much as I do.  We quickly became fishing buddies.  As I said, the wife doesn’t care about fishing; she not only refuses to join us, she always complains that I spend too much time fishing.

A few weeks ago Sam and I had the best fishing trip ever. Not only did I catch the most beautiful bass you’ve ever seen, only a few minutes later Sam must have caught his twin brother!  So I took a picture of Sam holding up the two nice bass that we caught and showed the picture to the wife hoping that maybe she’d get interested.  Instead she says she doesn’t want me to go fishing at all anymore! And she wants me to sell the boat! I think she just doesn’t like to see me enjoying myself.

What would you do?  Tell the wife to forget it and continue my hobby or quit fishing and sell the boat as she insists?
